Bush Hogging refers to mowing tall grass and small brush. You are probably familiar with seeing a farm tractor on the side of roads mowing grass. That is a classic version of a bushhog. However, farm tractors cannot go into tall brush for fear of damaging fuel lines. Our machine has front mounted attachments, and is armor plated, so no issues in tall grass or brush.
ShadowCat can “bush hog” your fields or pastures to eliminate any overgrowth, including small trees, palmettos, and large brush, by using our Forestry Mulcher. We no longer uses a bushhog as they are inefficient. They also make a mess of the property if there is anything other than just grass. As the name implies, a bushhog is limited in use to grass and small bushes. Many customers still ask for Bushhogging service when in fact they need a forestry mulcher! Let us know what you need done and we will be happy to assist, or advise you if a farm tractor is the best option for you to save money.
